Warning: Death-fic drabble

So, don't read this if you don't want to...

It's Jack and Daniel, 100 words, character death, future time.

A LIFE, DEFINED 

“We had a lot of fun, didn’t we?”

Daniel swallowed, squeezing Jack’s hand. “Don’t say that like it’s over. I’ll be following you before you know it.”

“Take your time. And if you meet somebody nice, just bring ‘em along.”

“There won’t be anybody else. I could never be this lucky a third time.”

“They say…time’s…charm.” Jack’s voice faded in and out.

Daniel leaned over the bed, and Jack‘s hazy vision was filled with much-loved blue eyes, glistening with tears. “I looked that word up in the dictionary. Charm? Had your picture next to it.”

Jack smiled. His eyes closed.

Actually I wrote this a few days ago, but only in my head, since I was computer-less. Yeah, probably mourning my computer, that was it!

At least I killed him in the future. He had a good life, first. :-)

I realized that I never gave this drabble a rating, but then I told myself: it's a death-fic, nobody is going to worry about it being NC-17.

Then I realized there is one scenario where that would fit. :-D

And the smile on the face would still be there. ;-)

I was thinking "In bed with an incredibly hot guy next to me!" But having someone I loved saying nice things to me as I go, that'd work too.

Please don't ever write the other kind of fic, that'd just be creepy. Unless they were pissing on eachother or something right then, because watersports trumps all other considerations. ;)

No, just desperate. :) I don't know if I mentioned this before, but I tend to be very big into only one fandom at a time, and before SG-1 it was The Sentinel--and that is one kinky fandom. I got spoiled, so I've been honestly disappointed with the selections in SG-1 fic. This isn't to say there isn't some wonderful, really hot stuff--I wasn't kidding when I gushed about your stories before--but I love the really kinky stuff and I miss having such a wide selection. I've got ideas, bits floating in my head, but I have no talent with fiction writing...I can come up with lines, even paragraphs, but I can't make them into neat little packages like good fic authors do. I have this dream that I somehow rescue all us suffering pervs by putting my perv on the page, but I don't think that's in the cards.

Currently in my head, Daniel is crawling around the cabin on hands and knees, wearing a collar and tags identifying Jack as his owner. He's sleeping in a cage, drinking from a bowl, toileting in the backyard, and only whimpering, growling and barking to communicate. God, I wish you liked Dom!Jack--I'd totally be prepared to beg.

I've read a lot of Sentinel fic, too, and that show just lends itself to all kinds of stuff, doesn't it? The very bizarre nature of their Sentinel/Guide relationship can be taken to so many kinky places.

I don't really see that for Jack and Daniel - not that I wouldn't totally read it, if it was well done and HAWT. :-)

Have you ever thought about trying your hand at a drabble? Just a snapshot of what's in your head, just to get your feet wet. I'm no beta, but I think I could help with something bite-size.

Those lines and paragraphs you already have sound suspiciously drabble-like to me! (And you can always re-use them in a larger fic, right?)
