We had snow again this morning and a hefty dollop of black ice.

We're having such an unusually warm spell that I have to wade through shoe-top high water to get to my car, thanks to all the blizzard snow that's melting now.

I think at the moment, I would rather have the water. Ice on the motorway is not my idea of having a safe 300miles trip.

Thank you, that is what I hope too. Anyway, I have put aside blankets and will make a flask or two of hot tea...and I will fill up on petrol too.
