A long-time RL friend of mine has just made her first post on LiveJournal.  Poor sucker thing doesn't know what she's let herself in for...

Please drop on over and give a warm welcome to [profile] shep0709

better her than me

She's not a slasher, but she's okay in spite of that.  *g*  She loves to read scifi, rent movies, run, drink red wine.  Doesn't watch TV these days, but she's seen the first three seasons of Stargate SG-1 (thanks to yours truly) and don't anyone dare spoil her for anything that comes later!  She's an atheist, and (as you will quickly see) a Packers fan, although I don't know if there's any correlation between those two things...

Welcome Shep0709!!!! Don't worry, we'll bring you over to the slash side of the force. :-);-):-)

Uh-oh. Was that my outside voice?

I did. ;-) I thought I was nice. Kinda of a backhanded 'you're a braver woman than I, Gunga Din' sorta thing.

Umm... Maybe I should go back. ;-)

They only put half-naked women on the front. What good is that? Anything good in Playgirl this month? :-):-0

Back in the Jurassic when I was selling books for a living (bookstore, sadly ;-) we used to have trouble with, ahem, damage to some of the stock. Suffice to say the gay porn mags were *much* more popular than Playboy or Playgirl.

Better pictures, too. Or so I was told.

Not that *I* looked, of course.

Just because some of the loveliest male models on the planet pose for those things is no reason for me to sully my eyes.

YES! Also in Seattle, here!

I've had mine on all day and am still typing in my fingerless gloves!

Sorry! Exclamation point must be frozen down! *g*

*waves* Howdy neighbor!

Ya know, the office is warm when I arrive in the morning, but it's damned freezing by 10:00! All my cow-orkers are sitting in their little cubicles wearing their coats & scarves.

*warms hands by illegal heater under desk*

So... I shouldn't mention that it's 78 here in muggy, sunnish Houston.

If it's any consolation, it's supposed to freeze Thursday night. It'll be the first freeze we've had on my side (south side) of town in a couple of years or so.

Small world, isn't it? [livejournal.com profile] hsapiens and I are planning to try and meet up as soon as we can both find a spare hour. Looks like we live within about five miles of each other.

Of course, so do 100,000 other people. :-)

There's this song that popped into my head, but I'm afraid there might be a riot if I referenced it. ;-)

Did you get nailed by Rita last year? I stayed home, so I at least escaped the horror that was the freeway.

If not, I'm sure he will. Give him time. ;-) Especially if his agent can find one that's got a *really* low budget. :-)

(Ok, that's rude. I suspect he's making a helluva lot more than I do, even if it is Canadian. ;-)

Yes, well, Seattle people have firsthand experience with all things Canadian. B movies, monopoly money-anything goes, except for the food. :)

I don't remember where I read it but I think his latest 'blockbuster' has the title: *drumroll*

Megasnake

Scary. And still, I'm disappointed I never get to see any of his movies. :(

Me, too. He not only gets to be a good guy, there are no explosions, well, there's a car wreck. Umm... !!! No aliens! Ummm... may be a ghost... umm... OH! No mutant bugs or snakes! (Runs and rereads the promo for the movie.) No mutant bugs or snakes! YAY! :-)

It's on regular Lifetime, not their movie channel. If my VCR worked, I'd tape it for you, but it went feral and ate Dead Again so I've pulled its plug and let the stupid cat sleep on it.

Ya know he's got another Lifetime one coming out-MS is filming a a taut, erotic thriller, he plays Jack, a dashing Irishman (heh)

I so loved that 200 moment, and all the press (and squee) around it. The 'sir' was perfect canon. :)

Oh! Is that the one where he's the bad guy? He really needs a few bad guy roles to help him break his "Daniel" image. Besides, like anything else, the more variety you get the better you get at your craft.

No worries. Too good looking. (Isn't that am archaic term?) I think he'll have a TV movie career, no problem. But I've only seen him on CSI and an Andromeda ep. He's come a long way on SG-1.

He's got a pretty decent list of credits on IMDB. Especially given 10 years on a series. Ok, 9 years on a series. :-) I'm in denial. :-)

I can see it now, though, if he can't break into the big screen, or get another series or two he'll end up playing the prime suspect on future incarnations of Murder, She Wrote (or whatever it'll be called ;-). Still, it pays the bills. :-)
