'Best Man', drabble, Jack and Daniel, rated G

BEST MAN

Jack was sober and pale. His hands shook a little as he tried to straighten his tie. Daniel gently batted them away and took over. Tie adjusted, he smoothed Jack's lapels and brushed a fingertip over the white rosebud in his buttonhole. "You look great."

"I feel like I'm going to throw up."

"This is the right thing." Jack got the soft, faraway look in his eyes that made Daniel's heart break. "It's perfect," Daniel added, taking Jack's hand and tucking it into the crook of his elbow before leading him out to meet his Sara.

Sniff! Although if it were going to be anyone, it would have to be Sara.

That's exactly right. I like Sara, and there's nothing wrong with het if she makes Jack happy she would be good for Jack.

More Daniel for the rest of us, too. Hadn't thought of it that way before...
