'Best Man', drabble, Jack and Daniel, rated G

BEST MAN

Jack was sober and pale. His hands shook a little as he tried to straighten his tie. Daniel gently batted them away and took over. Tie adjusted, he smoothed Jack's lapels and brushed a fingertip over the white rosebud in his buttonhole. "You look great."

"I feel like I'm going to throw up."

"This is the right thing." Jack got the soft, faraway look in his eyes that made Daniel's heart break. "It's perfect," Daniel added, taking Jack's hand and tucking it into the crook of his elbow before leading him out to meet his Sara.

Awwww! My favorite het pairing for Jack is Sara, so if he can't be with Daniel, Sara's the best choice. Of course, my favorite overall pairing is J/D. This was a sweet snippet.

Yes, J/D is the ideal, but I imagine Jack could be just silly enough to still be in love with Sara. Which is totally sweet, especially since she feels the same.
