If you don't know or care about the scene that was cut from the SGA episode Trio, then you don't need to read this.  It was cut, so it ain't canon.  

But for me, just knowing that it exists out there in some form calls for: 

REBUTTAL

“So.”

 

“So?”

 

“Apparently, according to Walter, he heard from Sheppard that McKay told him that Sam was telling people that the two of you have a thing going on. You’re going to retire, yadda yadda yadda.”

 

“Crap.”

 

“Yeah.”

 

“You’re pissed, aren’t you?”

 

“No. No, no. You know how much I love Sam.”

 

“Yeah. The problem is that I love her, too, and she knows it.”

 

“Yeah. She knows it. She just doesn’t get it.”

 

“Why didn’t she marry Shanahan?”

 

“We know why.”

 

“Yeah. Just… why?”

 

“Because that would make our lives too easy?”

 

“I wish.” Jack held Daniel more tightly.

Ha! Hammond is already retired. (I think. Because he was wearing a suit instead of a uniform in his last appearance and Jack is now head of Homeworld Security.)

P.S. I tried that justification too but I just couldn't do it to Walter.

I don't doubt that Sam has a thing for Jack, I just don't see Jack returning it. Not the way she wants.

Yes, George has retired from the Air Force. I think he works directly for the President now, but I could be mistaken about that.

I saw a couple of folks at Mallozzi's blog suggesting Hammond and thought it was a great joke! (But of course George would never hurt Walter that way.)
